JENNIFER’S PURPLE PAK

Jennifer Smith believed in a world where every girl had the chance to play. Not just to participate, but to compete, connect, and grow through the power of sports. That belief lives on through the InSports Foundation’s Purple Pak campaign, which has helped open new doors for hundreds of girls across Minnesota.

Thanks to proceeds from the Purple Pak, InSports was able to sponsor 12 middle school girls flag football teams as part of the Minnesota Vikings Girls Flag Football Initiative. For over 150 girls, this was their first time ever playing on a team—and for many, the first time they truly felt like they belonged in the game.

Teams were created in the following school districts

  •  ISD 624 White Bear Lake Area Schools
  • ISD 200 Hastings Schools
  • ISD 197 West Saint Paul Mendota Heights Eagan Schools
  • ISD 13 Columbia Heights Schools

From White Bear Lake to Hastings, Columbia Heights to West St. Paul, these teams didn’t just learn the basics of football. They built confidence, made friendships, and experienced the joy of sport in a space created just for them.

What is the Purple Pak?

Jennifer’s Purple Pak is an annual campaign created to honor her legacy and keep her belief in opportunity alive. Each year, the campaign features a limited edition item that carries the heart Jennifer drew by hand. The design represents her love for young athletes and the purpose behind this work.

The new item for this year will be released soon, and the excitement is building!

Continuing the Mission

The Purple Pak is more than a fundraiser. It is a growing effort to create real access for girls who deserve the chance to participate and thrive through sports. From flag football to future programming, every dollar raised helps young athletes stay in the game. As we celebrate Jennifer’s birthday, we invite you to learn more, get involved, and continue the mission she cared about so deeply.
