Dominic “Dom” Moore is an enthusiastic 8-year-old from Minnesota who lights up when he’s on the basketball court. Whether he’s working on his dribbling, encouraging a teammate, or helping out at community events with his mom, Dom brings positivity, effort, and leadership to everything he does. He’s a character award recipient at school and was named a team leader by his coach thanks to his sportsmanship and dedication. This scholarship helps keep Dom IN the game as he continues to grow as both a player and a person.
“Basketball is more than just a game to me, it’s like my happy place. When I’m playing, I feel free, like nothing else matters but the ball, the hoop, and my team. I love how it teaches me to keep trying even when things are hard. Sometimes I miss a shot, but I never give up because I know I’ll get better if I keep practicing.”
