Oliver Hickey is a driven 8th-grade tennis player from Minnesota with a deep passion for the game. After earning a spot on the JV team as a 7th grader, he’s continued to grow both on and off the court—competing in USTA tournaments, volunteering in his community, and striving toward academic excellence. This scholarship will support his next step: attending an elite training camp with the Rafa Nadal Academy, giving him the chance to build new skills and take his game to the next level.
“Tennis is unlike many other sports I have tried. Tennis taught me to be resilient. It forces me to accept responsibility for my actions and manage my mistakes. Tennis taught me to cope with pressure and adversity. I am forced to make many crucial decisions in a small amount of time. Through tennis, I learned good sportsmanship, good work ethics on and off courts and the meaning of teamwork. ”
