Jayla is a 16 year old basketball player from Minnesota. She is currently a junior and has been playing basketball since she was in elementary school, with hopes to play in college. Jayla has also been an A & B honor roll student since her freshman year and is involved in the school’s nursing program. Jayla applied for an InSports Scholarship to help pay for her registration, uniform, travel, and team fees.
“Basketball is my favorite sport. Basketball means a lot to me. It’s where I met a lot of my childhood friends and it helped me become the person I am now. It always helped me take stress away and I just love the game. Basketball is a part of me and if I’m not playing it I feel like I’m missing a big part of myself.”
